Artists

Teun Hocks has a very unique style of art. Seems to me like he likes to question things or create work that brings up questions. I also noticed that he likes to include himself in his work.

My first impression of Gregory Crewdson is that he has an unusual style or work yet I find most of his work appealing. It seems to me that his work represents how he views his surroundings or the everyday life. There are images that make you wonder and ask questions. They are things that are not "normal".

Jeff Wall's photographs are of things that are usual to us. His photographs consist of things we see on our everyday life. Some of his photographs, however, bring up questions, just as I have mentioned for Teun Hocks and Gregory Crewdson. It makes you wonder, "Why would he take this photograph?"

Cindy Sherman's photographs are very interesting and different from Jeff Wall. They obviously are based on black and white films. Her work is not exactly controversial. Her work does not bring up as many questions as the other artist, however, it is still very interesting. It interests me how her focus was mainly women.
